(ISC)2 Security Congress to Spotlight Ray Potter, CEO of SafeLogic, in Session on Security for Wearables

SafeLogic CEO to Speak at Fourth Annual Security Conference, Convening in Atlanta on September 29th to October 2nd

Palo Alto, CA – September 25, 2014 – SafeLogic, the company re-inventing how encryption is delivered, is excited to announce CEO Ray Potter’s speaking session at (ISC)2’s national convention.

isc2‘Wearables: Deep Integration Needs Deep Security’ will explore the challenges of securing the rapidly evolving technology and protecting data against identity theft, biological warfare, and other next-generation threats. Potter will engage with attendees in a fast-paced discussion of the devices, technology, deployments, and tools available to address the known security vulnerabilities. He will also offer a look at the future of wearables and the opportunities, should the industry successfully standardize measures of assurance, leading to more sensitive use cases. The session will be held at 4:30 PM local time on Tuesday, September 30th, in Room B203 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

“This session couldn’t happen at a better time,” said Ray Potter. “As consumers, we are eagerly awaiting the general release of the Apple Watch, but as professionals, we recognize that sense of impending doom. The anticipated popularity of the device will make it an immediate nightmare for security folks, unless we implement a strong game plan now. This is a new sense of urgency that hopefully will drive the community towards a comprehensive wearables strategy.”

The 2014 Security Congress is co-located with ASIS International’s 60th annual seminar and exhibits. This year, the combined event boasts hundreds of exhibiting sponsors with thousands of products represented.
