CGI

CGI was launched in Montreal, Canada in 1976 as an IT consulting company by Serge Godin, joined quickly by André Imbeau. CGI stands for "Conseillers en gestion et informatique" in French (which translates to "consultants in management and information technology" in English), the official English meaning would become "Consultants to Government and Industry." In later years the company began to go to market as simply CGI. Their CGI Federal division has grown to become a significant revenue stream for the company and truly a heavy hitter in the DC beltway region.
